The Lake Iowa Nature Center Provides a fabulous location for programs and educational opportunities!
The lower level of the Nature Center is also available for rent to the public for weddings, showers, and various events. The space will hold approximately 108-120 people. The lower level patio and adjoining lawn are available with any rental. Banquet size tables are provided along with chairs.
A general overview for renting it: FEE: $250 for the day during park hours of 6:00 am to 10:30 pm or $25/hour for the lower level – subject to availability and scheduling and a $500 deposit (returned to renter as long as cleaned and agreement met). Reservations can be made up to one year in advance by calling our office at 319-655-8465.

Lake View and Timber View are 2 bedroom deluxe cabins nestled in the treeline of Lake Iowa Park Campground and are within walking distance of Lake Iowa. They are newly constructed single story cabins and are furnished with log furniture hand-crafted in Iowa. Bedrooms include a queen size bed and a full size bunkbed that sleeps four. The living area includes a futon that sleeps 2 as well as a dining table that seats up to 8 people. A full size kitchen includes refrigerator, stove, and microwave. The full bath is completely handicap accessible. The large covered deck is a great place to view the lake and unwind. Lake Iowa activities include hiking trails, beach swimming, fishing, boat rentals, and an 18-hole Disc Golf course. The Lake Iowa Nature Center, children’s playscape, and birdblind are all within walking distance of the cabin. Winter activities include ice fishing and a deer hunt (by registration only). Pets are not allowed at the cabins or on the grounds surrounding them. We do not offer Wi-Fi or T.V.s but we do offer heating and air conditioning. Each cabin comes with one firering and firewood is available for sale or renters may bring firewood harvested in Iowa County. Two cars are allowed to park at each cabin. Tents, RV’s, or trailers are not allowed. There are electric RV sites and non-electric tent sites near the cabin. Cost is $110.00 per night. A $50 cleaning fee will be imposed if cabins are not cleaned by renters before check out.

All shelters are $25 to reserve, or run on a free first come first serve bases if not reserved. Reservations can be made up to one year in advance. The shelters have trash cans, pit toilets, and electricity – they do not have water available, the closest hydrant is at the beach and boat ramp.
The roundhouse costs $25 per day and must be reserved in advance. It is an enclosed shelter in the campground. It can hold up to 30 people and has tables and chairs available for use. Showerhouse, pit toilet, and water hydrant are all nearby. The building has A/C, heat, and electricity. No overnights.

With a generous grant from the Community Foundation of North East Iowa we are able to purchase kayaks to use for programming and rentals
In order to rent, you must have a valid ID and fill out appropriate forms and must be 16 years of age or older. Cash and Check only. All boats must be returned and checked in by 7pm Thur-Sat and 12pm on Sunday. Reservations can be made 24 hours in advance with a 50% non-refundable deposit.
